White or ligEPT gray powder/granule. Density is one.29. Soluble in benzene, acetone, chloroform, CStwo. Partly soluble in liquor, diethyl ether CCIfour. Application:
Can be utilised as a single accelerator, as a secondary accelerator or as a sulpur donor in most sulphur-fixed elastomers. Scorchy and gives quick heal charges. Makes and excellent vulcanization plateau with good heat ageing and compression set resistance insulphurless and EV treatment systems. Great shade retention is acquired in non-black vulcanization. A useful secondary accelerator for EPDM.
Might be employed as a retarEPTin the vulcanization of polychloroprene rubber with ETU and also be utilised as bactericide and pesticide.
